New yarn purchase here. First is Bartlett Fisherman 2-ply in Garnet Heather, what a steal. I got 7 skeins of 210 yds at $3.50 ea on ebay. I had been eyeing this at the already good retail price of $6 for Rogue. Color is a bit off in the photo. Other is 2 skeins of Zephyr Wool-Silk for Fiddlesticks Peacock Feathers Shawl in, what else, Peacock (Aegean) Blue color.

Randomness #3 – Does the new Chevy slogan annoy anyone else? “The price on the tag is the price you pay. Not a penny more” Ok, would one usually pay more than what is on a price tag? Our incentive is suppose to be not getting ripped off?
Speaking of ingenious marketing, have you seen the new brand of chocolate marketed as Choxie by Target? The slogan being “Chocolate with Moxie”. Now maybe it’s my graphic design background, but I tend to think naming a product after a word not in the general publics vocabulary not a real sound idea. But even more so – naming a chocolate something that calls to mind the adjective “chalky”…
More on knitting- I really am making (intermittent) progress on the Branching Out scarf. I did manage to work on it several times in India at least. It’s my pick up and work a few rows here and there project.
