Consuming
I have several deadline knits I should be working on. What am I knitting? The sock.

It's addictive. Turned the heel, past the gusset and starting on the foot section, me likey!
I have also discovered this, and ordered the pattern immediately.
Heere Be Dragone Shawl

I am so excited about starting this one, although I have several things to complete first. Love, love this design- I have a thing with pictorial lace. I'm sure it will be a somewhat dysfunctional relationship- with it kicking my ass and me loving it. *cough* Even if I didn't love the process knitting, I would make this regardless if it required knitting stitches while on my head.
Pattern by Sharon Winsauer of Aurora Alpacas. Currently it's only available by emailing her directly at web2@aurora-alpacas.com.
KAL over here and some more detailed info here and here.

Your sock looks fantastic! That shawl is beautiful. This is the first time I've seen "pictorial lace" as you called it. I've never seen it before. Sure now you've done it...something else to be hooked on! LOL I'll be waiting to see your progress I want to say that I bet you kick it's ass but I don't want to jinx you.

That shawl is incredible - it would look so good on someone's back.
The socks are pretty nifty too - whenever you have deadlines to prioritise, first place should be given to the one that is most awesome. : )

Wow! I have never seen anything like that dragon shawl. It is pretty amazing. Looking forward to seeing you results!

Nice tattoo placement! It must look great with handknitted socks, like they're on FIRE!
The shawl is also really awesome. I like huge motifs in general. There's on in one of the Mary Thomas books that has a japanese looking flower arrangement that I would love to make, but no pattern. If I was into dragons, I would be all over that shawl, but I guess I'm a girly flowery kind of girl.

Love the sock (and the tat). They colors in the yarn are amazing. Great job. And happy "Talk like a pirate day."
