Stella Cloche Hat Pattern

Stella Cloche Felted Hat

Evoke the style of the 1920’s with this felted cloche hat. Knit in the round, this piece uses short row shaping to form an asymmetrical brim. A clever variation of a double knit technique produces the contrasting welted band. Additional photos available here and here.

  1. Very nice! I hope tons of people buy it from you. I wish I could, but hubby’s b-day is coming up, and he might feel bad. Poor baby.

  2. I made Stella as a Chrismas present for my mother, and she LOVED it! It was quick and easy to knit up–which is great, because everyone who sees it admires it greatly!

    Dear Mrs. PieKnits:
Before I purchase the pattern for this oh so cool hat, can it be made on a brother knitting machine.
I am a hand knitter but have recently got back into the machine. Love the speed. I could get a speeding ticket with how fast I go.
    Thanks so much.

  4. Oh my gosh, ive been looking for a how to for a cloche that was actually flattering forever! Never thought id be so antsy for my check to be deposited. Is this very very complicated, im still a beginning knitter. And does it come with instructions, for the felting, ive never felted anything that had to be a certain size. I could make onew of these to go with every outfit, oh my!

  5. Can I purchase on credit card? I don’t belong to Pay Pal.

  6. You pointed this right I think, I agree with this at least. Thank You.

  7. no estoy de acuerdo para nada de lo que dice

    • This pattern is written for in the round, so I don’t think a standard Brother knitting machine can work in the round. If you’re comfortable converting the pattern to back and forth knitting than yes I think it would be doable.

  9. Since you mentioned that this is in the round I assume that the needle size listed is for a circular needle, size 11. Is that correct?

    • You’re correct Ana- I’ve updated to include those details! You’ll need a 16″ circular needle as well as double pointed needles in US size 11 (8mm).

  10. Are you still selling this pattern, I love it, want it NEED it
