Lace Leaf Pullover by Teva Durham
Pattern: Lace Leaf Pullover, from Interweave Knits Summer 2005 and Loop-d-loop
Yarn: Knit Picks Sierra in color Bud. I ended up using just a little of the 7th skein.
Needles: Size 10.5 Denise's
Overall, I'm quite happy with this one. My gauge was significantly smaller than the pattern gauge to require a recalculation of the entire pattern. I wanted a loose sweater but it could have been a bit narrower. I think that stems from my gauge loosening up over the long intermittent working of this project. The only other wish is that I had modified the leaf chart to be larger, as I have seen on some others in blogland but I think it still stands sufficiently out. I'm nit picking here however. I love my bright green sweater! (and the sleeves are long, I know but I love way too long sleeves)
I'm also one with the grafting now. As a pleasant surprise, the graft line turned out rather unnoticeable. I'm going to be grafting wherever I can from now one!

It looks so great on you! After seeing yours I might actually attempt this sweater.. I've seen so many on blogs where the people say that it didn't fit at all.
I totally hear you about Paypal fees.. they're a killer.

Excellent job! I love the color too, you should be proud :)
Besides the test for scarlet woman I have still yet to attempt sweater knitting. All the grafting and seaming really intimidates me. I suppose I'll have to sooner or later, but until then I'll just ooh and ahhh over all the lovely sweaters in blogland.

Jen the sweater is beautiful! I love the lace motif and I am also a fan of lonnng sleeves! The lace detail going up the one sleeve is stunning too. I doubt that anyone will be upset over the price increase.

I love the red sweater pattern I got from you. I was showing your patterns off the other day to my mom. Don't worry about the slight increase. I'll keep shopping! =-)

Great job! Isn't the Sierra yarn nice to knit with? I made some Fuzzy Feet with it in Lettuce.

Wow! Looks fantastic! This may just be the motivation I need to finish grafting mine together. I think it's been sitting at the bottom of the basket since July.

Ok....for the record, I think your Lace Leaf Pullover came out much nicer than the one in the magazine. I have this issue and looked right over this pattern 'cause of the fit (or lack thereof). Your sweater hangs on you perfectly. Kudos!
