Impromptu photos

Hence the utter crap lighting (and stylish PJs), but couldn't resist.

Such a cuddle-bum

Why sit on a chair when you can make such a good doggie bed?

Aejaz, our "sheltie mix" use to always curl up in my lap as a puppy. He still is fond of trying to do this at every opportunity despite the fact he's now a surprising 54 lbs. Anytime I'm on the floor and still for longer than 30 sec he comes and lays at least partly on me in some fashion. This gets rather amusing when we're actually trying to do something like assemble furniture.

Knucks on a dog

My "point of view" shot with the Knucks. Such a cuddle bunny he apparently doesn't mind the occasional poke of a dpn.

These Knucks though, I'm about to start jabbing myself with the needles. Knitter upon knitter have just sailed through these but no such luck for me it seems. The first glove upon completion ended up having the thumb side ride up much shorter than the rest of the glove. Huh, that's funny - I figured I must have just knit it too tightly and my row gauge was off. So I ripped back the ribbing, added a few short rows and called it good.
On to the second glove, working along (with the pattern in reference view this time) I notice this thumb gusset is much longer. Oooh, I had worked the decreases too often on the first one. This one however, was too long. After ripping back again and having a very Goldilocks moment, I've worked out a decrease rate that's "juuust right".
Now I suppose the other glove will need to match won't it?

Oh isn't that just like a doggy!! Our terri-poo likes to sit on my lap too, and endures the odd poke!

awwww...what a cuddly puppy!

Knucks was a nightmare for me too. I just didn't have the patience for all the individual little fingers. yuck!

So cute! I have some recent shots of Meldrick snuggling under a blanket on my lap as I am knitting said blanket. It's sort of the best of both worlds for all involved.

Oh ... he is so handsome! Poor boy needs all the close contact he can get. ;)

I knit at least three knucks before I finally got it right. I forget exactly what I was doing wrong, but somehow I kept missing a big part of the instructions before I finally went "ohhhh, that's how it goes..."

your dog is adorable! I so want a dog! :) The knucks are looking good too despite the problems you're encountering. Are you using Felted Tweed?

Awww, what a sweetie. My brother's dog likes to curl up in our laps too and he's almost as big as we are.

Ohhhh soo cute...looking forward to see more knitting from you :)

awwww - so cute! i love cuddly puppies! I can't be sitting on the couch for more than a few seconds without a dog cuddling up on or next to me. the doggie love is the best! is he enjoying the new house?

glad you solved the decrease prob on the knucks!

We had a dog, and the current cat too, who would lay like that in bed with me, except on top of the blankets, which made it really difficult to move without disturbing them!

They think they are always the size of puppies for their whole lives! He makes a very cute knitting buddy.. that's for sure!

Such a pretty dog! I like your handknit socks you are wearing.

The pictures are great and the puppy is sooo cute!!! My cat, Kiya does the same thing. Anytime I am knitting she feels she has to press herself right against my stomach. She plays with the yarn, the needles. Anything to get my attention. =)

So adorable! I love that your hair and his fur look about the same color in the first photo.

And the Knucks do look good, whatever you've been doing with them. I'm terrified to start a pair, so I keep putting it off..
