Wow do I suck at blogging lately.

Proof there is some knitting going on despite being behind on everything. This is the "Ladylike Cropped Jacket" from the now defunct Adorn Magazine. You can still find the pattern via the Way Back Machine however. (Ravelry link)
This was really flying off the needles and is simple enough of a pattern to only require half a brain. I however, am apparently operating on a quarter, and had several stupid mistake induced ripping sessions. Still, I now only have the second half of the neckline to do and some seams to sew. Just in time for the fall chill to settle in! O wait- I live in Texas, hahahaha - so that'll be about December then...

Is there a self help group online somewhere for knitters who live in warm climates but keep trying to trick themselves into believing that "fall" is coming sometime before December/January? Cuz I sure need to sign up. I've knit a hat and a pair of fingerless gloves in handspun within the last week and I have been trying to narrow down my choice of fall/winter sweaters... "before it gets cold". *sigh* How did I get stuck in Georgia?
What do you use for blocking boards? I've been in the mood to knit sweaters lately. Must be the changing of the seasons. I need something a little more substantial for fall/winter in Iowa though.
..... And you will wear it for what like 2 days?
ah the texas heat. can't say i miss it AT ALL. i can hardly wait for the cool fall days. i love sweater weather!
Hilarious!! Yeah fall/winter is relative as I think So Cal winters are cold. hee hee
Well, good on ya for actually tackling a sweater! I've been reduced to hand mitts and socks around here - nothing so large, even if it does only require half of your brain. I've got to get some motivation. Show pics of it when it's done!
