With the heat index’s (and actual temps) well over 100 lately, small projects are the name of the game. My current such project being this cute argyle headband. The colorwork keeps it interesting while simultaneously light and small.

The pattern is free and entirely in chart form from LadySpankington, simply named Argyle Headband. I’m using leftover Dale of Norway/Dalegarn Baby Ull on US size 2 needles. I used a provisional cast-on so I can go back and add the i-cord ties to the length I need after the body is complete. No reason to knit more i-cord than I have to.
This little guy will be perfect to take with me on this weekend’s road trip down to a lake house we’ve rented with friends. Summer knitting by the lake, oh yeah…

that is a very cute headband! I totally agree, a small pattern is the way to go. Why I’m forging ahead with a lace hoodie at the moment seems like madness compared to your perfect little headband!
